Joseph
and Mary were about to get married when they traveled from Galilee
to Bethlehem.
While Mary was in Bethlehem with Joseph, she gave birth to Baby Jesus.
After wrapping Jesus in cloths and laying Him in a manger, Mary noticed
that she had some visitors.
The visitors, or people who came to see her, were shepherds. Shepherds
are men who take care of sheep by giving them food and telling them
where to go. The shepherds told Mary that they had heard about Jesus
from angels that God had sent from heaven.
Those angels said, “Today . . . there has been born for you
a Savior, who is Christ the Lord” (Luke
2:11). Then, the angels began singing and telling God how happy
they were that Jesus had come to save the world.
Memory Verse: "But
Mary quietly treasured these things in her heart and often thought
about them" (Luke
2:20 tlb).

Joseph
and Mary did not know it
But God had great plans for them
He told them to go to a new town
The town was called Bethlehem.
When Mary and Joseph arrived
It was time for Mary to give birth
Jesus left His home in heaven
To be born a baby here on earth.
The shepherds came to tell Mary
What a special job Jesus had
When Mary heard what the angels said,
It made her heart very glad.
